Two very different textures meet at the waist of this dress, and somehow it works completely. The bodice is a strapless, boned satin corset with visible vertical boning channels that pull into the waist and lace up the back. Clean. Architectural. Then from the hip down, the skirt takes over in dense, floral lace that hugs the body through a fitted mermaid silhouette before sweeping into a chapel-length train with a scalloped lace hem.
The off-the-shoulder look comes entirely from the long lace gloves, not from the neckline itself. The neckline is straight and strapless. The gloves begin just below the shoulder, sitting off the arm, and extend to the wrist in the same intricate floral lace as the skirt, with a fringed or raw-edged lace cuff detail at the top. It ties the whole look together without adding bulk.
The lace itself features large-scale medallion and fan motifs, more elaborate at the hips and more delicate toward the hem. From the back, the corset lacing is fully visible, making the rear view just as considered as the front.
This dress reads well outdoors. A coastal ceremony, a garden reception, anywhere the light can catch the lace properly.
